    Diagnostic Care

If your pet's wellness exam uncovers potential health concerns, or if you notice a change in your pet's health between annual visits, Fourmile provides diagnosis and treatment. Our veterinarians utilize various procedures and lab tests to gather a complete image of your pet's health and come to the most accurate diagnosis. Once we have reached a confident diagnosis, we can help you make decisions about your pet's treatment and get your furry best friend back to feeling their best in no time.

The challenge in diagnosing pets is that they cannot tell us what hurts. Therefore, veterinarians rely on diagnostic tools and technology to better understand how their patients are feeling. At Fourmile, we have invested in modern, state-of-the-art diagnostic machines so that we can collect complete, accurate health information in minimal time.

Fourmile offers the following diagnostic services:

    • In-House Lab Work: Our clinic is equipped with a full-service laboratory capable of performing a wide range of tests. By performing lab work in-house, we avoid having to send samples to far off laboratories and waiting days for results. This gives us the most immediate access to your pet's health. Lab tests help us check for infections, anemia, bleeding disorders, metabolic diseases, and organ health, achieving results within as little as 20 minutes! In the case we detect a medical concern, we can get started on your pet's treatment right away.

    • Digital X-Ray: At Fourmile, we want only the best for our patients. That's why we utilize modern digital x-ray in place of traditional film x-ray. Digital x-ray takes higher quality images with greater detail, while at the same time exposing your pet to less radiation than traditional x-ray and making the process safer. Digital images also enable our veterinarians to zoom in for a closer look or send images to specialists across the country for consultation.

If you ever notice any concerning changes in your pet's health or behavior, please do not hesitate to give us a call. Our veterinarians can pinpoint the issue and get your pet started on the appropriate treatment right away.
